A war chariot dating from the Western Zhou Dynasty period (from 1046 to 771 BC), it was restored by specialists from the Institute of Archeology of Shaanxi Province, in central China, Xinhua reports.

As detailed, the car measures 3.13 meters long by 2.7 wide. It was found, along with the skeletons of four horses, at the Zhouyuan archaeological site, in northwestern Shaanxi, in 2014.

At the time of its discovery the car was smashed into thousands of fragments, so it took three years to complete the laborious restoration work.
